About Me
I am a state-licensed home care provider serving the Berthoud, Colorado area for 29 years. Due to my love for children and desire to spend more time with my two sons I decided to make this my lifelong profession.
My Philosophy
My home provides a warm, secure setting where your child will develop to his/her own potential emotionally, physically, socially, and cognitively. Many of the activities I provide encourage the child’s natural curiosity and the opportunity to make choices whenever possible, enhancing the child‘s creativity. Children learn by doing and process is more important than the product. By giving your child guidance and understanding he/she will have the opportunity to explore their own world in a safe and controlled environment.
Each child and family has individual needs and provide opportunities for your child to develop their own unique creativity. They will be respected for uniqueness and their own learning ability. Some children reach their level of learning of developmental milestones faster than others. Therefore, each child will be praised for his/her own accomplishments and encouraged to advance further at their own pace. Every child has their own interest and creativity and helping the child expand their creativity and interest their self-esteem is brought to a higher level.
A learning environment is not just the ABC’s and 123’s, but is also the learning of values, honesty, respect, self-reliance, potential, self-discipline and moderation. The values of being dependable, love, sensitivity to others, kindness, friendliness, and fairness are values of giving are important in my program.
